I am a fourth year studying foreign affairs and international economics, with a minor in Latin American studies. I love reading about issues surrounding immigration and international trade and development. If I’m not listening to NPR or Malcolm Gladwell, you can find me playing soccer or traveling.
3rd Year, doubling in Middle Eastern Studies and Foreign Affairs, activities: I love languages (Arabic specifically as of late), road trips, reading, running, and getting to know other people and their interests! I'm involved with Alpha Chi Omega sorority, Banaat Connect, and currently work at Cafe Caturra.
I am a fourth year studying Arabic, Global Security and Justice and French. My name is Kay Khosbayar and I am currently a third year double major in Foreign Affairs and Russian Studies. I particularly find trends in development from post-Soviet Russia and Eastern Europe as important elements to navigating international relations today. Around Grounds, I am a Career Peer Educator, resident advisor in first year dorms, and a dance mentor at Venable Elementary. You may also find me lounging on the Lawn or in line for various food trucks!
I am a first year here at UVa and am a prospective foreign affairs/government major. I love film, reading, politics, history and chess. When I am not watching old movies or investing in cryptocurrency, I volunteer my extra time at Campus Kitchens and Madison House.
I'm 1st year, currently undeclared (Prospective Economics and Math double-major, possible minor in Government). I am particularly interested in the politics of East Asia, including the domestic and foreign policy of China and how it impacts the region and the globe. I also enjoy studying US foreign policy, and the role that our country takes (or refuses to take) in the world. More generally, I am very interested in global political trends, especially the current decline of the American-led post-war international order and the current challenges of secular liberal democracy. Outside of the Global Inquirer, I also do Model UN with IRO, and I have been doing MUN since I was in 7th grade. I am also an Honor Support Officer, and a marketing fellow for the Tom Tom Foundation.
I am second year in the History DMP intending on declaring a foreign affairs major next semester. I do a lot of non-fiction reading, and I like to unwind by playing video games. My involvement on Grounds includes founding the Roosevelt Society, contributing to the Cavalier Daily as an Opinion columnist, participating in the Debate and Oratory Committee of the Jefferson Literary and Debating Society, and helping out at Madison House as a writing tutor.
